Andrews Dormitory, 2401 Whitis Ave.

Occurred on 12-12-04 at 1:35 a.m.

Possession of Alcohol by a Minor: A UT police officer observed a subject standing on the 3rd floor patio urinating from the banister. During the investigation, two additional subjects were found on the patio area. All three subjects were identified as UT students. All three were found to be in possession of plastic glasses containing orange juice and an alcoholic beverage.

Brazos Garage, 210 East Martin Luther King Blvd.

Occurred on 12-13-04 at 3:30 a.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was discovered sleeping on the south side of the garage. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Frank C. Erwin Jr. Special Events Center, 1701 Red River

Occurred on 12-11-04 at 7:36 p.m.

Possession of a Controlled Substance/Possession of Marijuana: A non-UT subject was found passed out inside a 2nd floor men's rest room. An Erwin Center employee had attempted to wake the subject, but after 20 minutes he contacted the police department. When the officers arrived, they found a 3 inch cigarette that contained marijuana at the subject's feet. During the investigation the subject took two objects out of his pocket and attempted to throw them away. The objects were retrieved and later determined to be cocaine.

Beauford H. Jester Center West, 201 East 21st Street

Occurred on 12-11-04 between 2:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.

Grafitti: Grafitti was discovered in four separate areas on the 11th floor. A black permanent marker was used to write words and phrases. Loss value $100.00.

San Jacinto Residence Hall, 309 East 21st Street

Occurred on 12-12-04 between 6:45 p.m. and 7:05 p.m.

Theft: A biology textbook was stolen from a 3rd floor study lounge after being left unsecured for 20 minutes while the owner went back to her dorm room. Loss value: $100.00.

Trinity Garage, 1815 Trinity Street

Occurred on 12-10-04 between noon and 5:00 p.m.

Theft: The rear license plate of a Toyota Corolla was stolen while parked on the 3rd level. Loss value: $5.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 12-12-04 at 12:50 p.m.

Criminal Trespass (2 Counts): Two non-UT subjects were found inside a first floor area by Union staff and asked to leave. Both subjects left but returned later to watch football. Both subjects were issued written criminal trespass warnings for the area.

100 block East 21st Street

Occurred on 12-6-04 between 8:00 p.m. and 8:45 p.m.

Theft: A tan Mongoose mountain bicycle was stolen from the bike racks located on the north side of PCL after it was left unsecured and unattended. Loss value: $150.00.

200 block East 21st Street

Occurred on 12-12-04 at 3:40 a.m.

Driving Under the Influence by a Minor: A UT student was stopped for driving over twice the posted speed limit. During the investigation a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanated from the driver's person. The driver admitted to having had a "few" mixed drinks. It was determined the driver was under the legal age of 21.

300 block East 21st Street

Occurred on 12-12-04 at 1:45 a.m.

Driving While Intoxicated: A UT police officer observed a red Ford truck east bound on 21st street without its headlights on. The driver, identified as a UT student, had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage about his person. During the investigation, it was determined the driver was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and was a danger to himself or others. The driver admitted to the officer that it was a "stupid thing to do".

100 block East 24th Street

Occurred on 12-10-04 at 9:14 p.m.

Leaving the Scene Collision: A UT student reported that a green colored Honda struck her vehicle then left the scene without stopping. The reporting person and a third witness were able to obtain the license plate number of the striking vehicle as it drove away. The driver of the suspect vehicle was located later that day. Loss value undetermined at this time.

300 block Martin Luther King Blvd.

Occurred on 12-13-04 at 3:25 a.m.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: An abandoned vehicle was located on the south side of the Brazos Parking Garage, blocking the northern turn lane. During a search of the vehicle, a 2 inch glass pipe containing burnt marijuana residue and a wire screen was found in plain view.

1900 block Robert Dedman Drive

Occurred on 12-12-04 at 12:40 a.m.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor (2 Counts): A UT police officer observed a non-UT subject standing in the shadows next to several trees in a Parking Lot. The subject began running towards a parked car where a second non-UT subject was later located inside the vehicle. Both subjects were identified a being under the legal age of 21. During the investigation, officers detected a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from or about the persons of both subjects.

2201 Robert Dedman Drive

Occurred on 12-12-04 at 11:00 p.m.

Public Intoxication: An off-duty UT police officer observed a non-UT subject staggering and having difficultly walking. When the subject was stopped, officers had to assist him from falling. It was determined the subject was intoxicated to a point that he was a physical danger to himself or others.

2000 block San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 12-08-04 between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Theft: A blue and silver Gary Fisher mountain bicycle was stolen from the bike racks located on the west side of Rec Sports. The bicycle was secured with a key lock and cable loops. Loss value: $350.00.

2000 block San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 12-12-04 between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Theft: A silver and red mountain bicycle was stolen from the bike racks located on the west side of Rec Sports. The bicycle was secured with a self locking cable lock. Loss value: $150.00.

Occurred at various times.

Noncriminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, UTPD responded to 20 alarm calls, 3 medical calls, 28 unsecured door reports, 4 public assist calls, 2 fire alarms, and 5 suspicious activity reports between 12-10-04 and 12-13-04.
