Harry Ransom Center, 300 West 21st Street

Occurred on 1-14-05 at 3:45 a.m.

Public Intoxication: A UT student was found "passed out" while sitting against the east exterior wall of the building. The subject had exhibited an inability to control his bodily functions. The student was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.

J.J. Pickle Research Campus, 10100 Burnet Road

Occurred between 1-1-04 and 1-10-05 at 8:00 a.m.

Burglary: Twenty-five Siemon computer network cable boxes were stolen from a secured room in building 184 while the building was closed for renovations. Loss value: $250.00.

Kinsolving Dormitory, 2605 Whitis Avenue

Reported on 1-13-05 at 8:18 p.m.

Harassment: A UT student has placed several unwanted and annoying telephone calls and instant messages to a former acquaintance who is a 2nd floor resident of the dormitory.

Penick-Allison Tennis Center, 1701 Trinity

Occurred on 1-14-05 at 12:24 a.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found sleeping in the ticket booth located inside the perimeter fence of the tennis center. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Peter T. Flawn Academic Center, #2 West Mall

Occurred between 9:30 a.m. and 10:12 a.m. on 1-13-05.

Graffiti: A black permanent marker was used to write words and draw symbols on doors, the floor and a bathroom fixture located inside a 3rd floor men's restroom. Removal cost: $50.00.

Physical Plant, 1201 East Dean Keeton

Discovered on 1-13-05 at 11:15 p.m.

Graffiti: White paint was used to write a word on a metal gate located on the northwest side of the Grounds and Maintenance building. Removal cost: $50.00.

Occurred between 1-12-05 at 4:30 p.m. and 1-13-05 at 7:00 a.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The right vent window was broken out of a Ford pick-up truck while the vehicle was parked on the west side of the Grounds and Maintenance building. At this time, it is unknown if any property was stolen from the vehicle. Repair cost: $100.00. Loss value: Unknown at this time.

Physical Plant, 1201 East Dean Keeton

Occurred between 1-12-05 at 4:30 p.m. and 1-13-05 at 7:00 a.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The lock hasp was cut off a tool box located in the bed of a Chevrolet pick-up truck while the vehicle was parked on the west side of the Grounds and Maintenance building. A Pro-lift jack was stolen from the tool box. The jack was found on the ground near the vehicle. Repair cost: $20.00.

Occurred between 1-12-05 at 4:30 p.m. and 1-13-05 at 7:00 a.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The lock hasp was cut off a tool box located in the bed of a GMC pick-up truck while the vehicle was parked on the west side of the Grounds and Maintenance building. An Echo water pump and a 3' long aluminum pipe wrench were stolen from the vehicle. The water pump and pipe wrench were later found on the ground in a cemetery located west of the Physical Plant complex. Recovery cost: $20.00. Loss value: $175.00.

Occurred between 1-12-05 at 4:30 p.m. and 1-13-05 at 7:00 a.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: A jacket and a pair of pants were stolen from an unsecured Chevrolet pick-up truck while the truck was parked on the west side of the Grounds and Maintenance building. Loss value: $10.00.

Occurred between 1-12-05 at 4:30 p.m. and 1-13-05 at 7:00 a.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: A lock hasp was cut off a tool box located in the bed of a GMC pick-up truck while the vehicle was parked on the west side of the Grounds and Maintenance building. A large pair of loppers was stolen from the tool box. Repair cost: $50.00. Loss value: $40.00.

Occurred between 1-12-05 at 4:30 p.m. and 1-13-05 at 7:00 a.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: A pair of leather gloves and a pair of cotton gloves were stolen from an unsecured Chevrolet pick-up truck while the vehicle was parked on the west side of the Grounds and Maintenance building. Loss value: $15.00.

24th and San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 1-14-05 at 2:55 a.m.

Driving While Intoxicated: A non-UT subject was stopped after disregarding a stop sign while driving a blue 1992 Toyota 4-door. While performing field sobriety tests, the subject exhibited an inability to control her bodily functions. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point she was driving while intoxicated.

Noncriminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, UTPD responded to 9 alarm calls, 3 unsecured door reports, 2 light surveys, 1 welfare concern call, 2 public assist calls, 1 collision report and 1 suspicious activity report between 01-13-05 and 01-14-05.
