Claudia Taylor Johnson Hall, 210 West 6th Street

Occurred on 1-29-05 at 1:50 a.m.

Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject was found staggering near the fountain located on the east side of the building. The subject was unaware of his location. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.

Colorado Apartments, 2501 Lake Austin Blvd.

Occurred between 1-23-05 at 5:00 p.m. and 1-30-05 at 2:00 p.m.

Theft: A black Trek 4300 was stolen when it was left in an open storage area located outside of a 2nd floor apartment. Loss value: $500.00.

Beauford H. Jester Center West, 210 East 21st Street

Occurred on 1-28-05 at 11:32 p.m.

Minor in Possession of Alcohol (2 Counts): Responding to a noise complaint, UT police officers found two UT students, who were both under the age of 21, inside a 13th floor dormitory room while in possession of seven cans of beer.

O. Henry Hall, 601 Colorado

Occurred on 1-29-05 at 2:30 a.m.

Assault / Public Intoxication (3 counts): A non-UT subject began to follow three other non-UT subjects while yelling threatening statements towards them. As the subjects approached O. Henry Hall the threatening subject struck one of the other subjects in the head. The striking subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to others. From the group of three subjects, one was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point Austin EMS needed to transport her to a local emergency room to be treated for alcohol poisoning. A second subject from the same group was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.

O. Henry Hall, 601 Colorado

Occurred on 1-30-05 at 9:45 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found sleeping on the south side of the building. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Parking Lot 104, 1900 North IH-35

Discovered on 1-30-05 at 5:07 a.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The left front window was broken out of white Toyota Camry while it was parked in the Parking Lot. The owner of the vehicle could not be contacted at the time of the discovery. Repair cost: $150.00. Loss Value: Unknown at this time.

Parking Lot 104, 1900 North IH-35

Discovered on 1-30-05 at 5:07 a.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The right side window was broken out of a white and blue Ford Bronco while it was parked in the Parking Lot. There was evidence that the dashboard stereo had been stolen from the vehicle. The owner of the vehicle could not be contacted at the time of the discovery. Repair cost: $150.00. Loss value: Unknown at this time.

Parking Lot 104, 1900 North IH-35

Discovered on 1-30-05 at 5:07 a.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The left opera window was broken out of silver Ford Mustang while it was parked in the Parking Lot. The owner of the vehicle could not be contacted at the time of the discovery. Repair cost: $150.00. Loss Value: Unknown at this time.

Perry-Castañeda Library, 101 East 21st Street

Discovered on 1-29-05 at 1:10 p.m.

Graffiti: A black permanent marker was used to write words on two walls inside a 1st floor men's restroom. Removal cost: $35.00.

Printing and Press Building, 2100 Comal Street

Occurred on 1-19-05 at 1:30 p.m.

Terroristic Threat: A UT staff member threatened to cause serious bodily harm to another UT staff member while the two were "in front of the building."

Robert A. Welch Hall, 105 East 24th Street

Reported on 1-29-05 at 5:30 p.m.

Theft: A brown leather Liz Claiborne wallet containing $30.00 cash and various credit and identification cards was stolen from a purse that was left in an unsecured 2nd floor classroom during a class. Before the credit cards could be cancelled, an unauthorized charge in the amount of $48.95 was made at a local convenience store. Loss value: $40.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 1-28-05 between 8:30 p.m. and 9:10 p.m.

Theft: A plastic "Building Closed" sign was stolen from a wall in a 1st floor stairwell. Loss value: $35.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 1-30-05 at 10:00 p.m.

Criminal Trespass (2 counts): Two non-UT subjects were found on the 4th floor in an area reserved for faculty, staff and students. Both subjects were issued a written criminal trespass warning.

University Interscholastic League, 1701 Manor

Reported on 1-27-05 at 10:00 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: White stickers with black lettering were affixed to exterior windows on the northwest side of the building. Removal cost: $30.00.

Occurred at various times.

Noncriminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, UTPD responded to 18 alarm calls, 2 collision reports, 7 public assist calls, 19 unsecured door reports, 2 medical emergencies, 1 welfare concern report and 5 suspicious activity reports between 1-27-05 and 1-28-05.
