Center for Transportation Research, 3208 Red River
Occurred on 2-3-05 between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Burglary: A Fujitsu laptop computer was stolen from an unsecured 1st floor office. An unidentified subject was seen "wandering" around the building during the timeframe of the theft. The subject was described as a Hispanic male with a fair complexion, 5'5" tall, 150 pounds, clean shaven, wearing a white shortsleeve shirt and blue pants. Loss value: $1,100.00.
Moore-Hill Dormitory, 214 East 21st Street
Occurred between 1-6-05 at 3:00 p.m. and 1-7-05 at 7:00 a.m.
Criminal Mischief: An 8" by 12" metal framed backlit "Exit" sign was pulled from a 2nd floor ceiling by the west stairwell entry door. The metal frame was bent beyond repair. Replacement cost: $200.00.
W.R. Woolrich Laboratories, 210 East 24th Street
Occurred on 2-7-05 between 3:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Theft: A Hewlett-Packard ZT3000 laptop computer and a wallet containing various credit and debit cards were stolen from an unsecured 2nd floor room. A suspicious subject was seen loitering in the hallway during the timeframe of the thefts. The subject was described as a black male in his late teens or early 20's with dreadlocks, wearing an orange or tan jacket, and khaki or denim cargo pants. That subject was later seen leaving with a white male subject who was described as having "sandy blonde" hair and wearing a blue long sleeve shirt. Loss value: $1,205.00.
Occurred at various times.
Noncriminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, UTPD responded to 16 alarm calls, 4 unsecured door reports, 3 suspicious activity reports, 2 medical emergency calls, 1 collision report, 1 light survey report and 3 public assist calls between 2-7-05 and 2-8-05.
