Occurred on 2-8-05 between 6:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Harassment: A UT student reported finding a handwritten note outside of her 10th floor dormitory room. The note contained a threatening message.
Geology Building, #10 East Mall
Occurred between 12-10-05 and 2-8-05 at 8:50 a.m.
Theft: A 17" Dell flat screen computer monitor was stolen from a 3rd floor laboratory. Loss value: $200.00.
Parking Lot 114, 2100 Block Leona Street
Occurred on 2-8-05 between 12:20 p.m. and 2:15 p.m.
Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The passenger window of a 1999 Chevy, parked on the west side of the lot was discovered broken. A Pioneer Premier CD player with a remote was stolen after being removed from the dash board. A 7" Lilliput monitor was destroyed when the CD player was forced from the dash board. Loss value: $750.00.
Russell A. Steindam Hall, #7 East Mall
Reported 2-8-05 at 8:00 a.m.
Counterfeited Document: A UT staff member reported receiving a postal money order for $1,900 over the agreed upon sales price of an item sold on eBay. The buyer requested the UT staff member to send the refunded difference via a wire transaction through Western Union. The postal money orders were determined to be counterfeited documents.
Union Building, #4 West Mall
Occurred between 2-8-05 at 10:00 p.m. and 2-9-05 at 12:30 a.m.
Theft: A UT student reported leaving a small brown Coach purse unattended on a chair outside the Union theater. Upon her return, she discovered her property gone.
Walter Webb Hall, 2500 Guadalupe
Occurred between 2-7-05 at 2:50 p.m. and 2-8-05 at 7:20 a.m.
Graffiti: White chalk was used to write words in two locations on the northeast exterior wall. Loss value: $20.00.
Occurred at various times.
Noncriminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, UTPD responded to 7 alarm calls, 1 unsecured door report, 1 suspicious activity report, 3 medical emergency calls, 2 collision reports and 3 public assist calls between 2-8-05 and 2-9-05.
