Colorado Building, 702 Colorado

Occurred on 2-14-05 between 2:00 a.m. and 3:30 a.m.

Graffiti: A blue permanent marker was used to draw a symbol on a support column located on the south side of the building. Removal cost: $40.00.

1800 Exposition Blvd.

Occurred on 2-12-05 at 12:10 a.m.

Driving While Intoxicated / Open Container Violation: A non-UT subject was stopped for driving at night without active headlamps and impeding traffic. The driver was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point she was driving while intoxicated. Two open bottles of beer were found inside the vehicle.

Hal C. Weaver Power Plant Annex, 301 East 24th Street

Discovered on 2-12-05 at 12:44 p.m.

Criminal Mischief: Three paper flyers were glued to the north exterior wall. Removal cost: $35.00.

Beauford H. Jester Center East, 203 East 21st Street

Occurred on 2-11-05 between 4:40 a.m. and 7:30 a.m.

Graffiti: A black permanent marker was used to write words on a 10th floor dormitory room door. Removal cost: $50.00.

Littlefield Dormitory, 201 West Dean Keeton

Occurred between 2-10-05 at 3:30 p.m. and 2-11-05 at 7:30 a.m.

Graffiti: White paint was used to write illegible words on a metal drainage pipe, a metal streetlight pole and a metal handrail located on the north and east sides of the building. Removal cost: $50.00.

LLF Living Learning Center D, 2610 Whitis Avenue

Occurred on 2-12-05 at 11:57 p.m.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor (3 counts): Three UT students, all of whom were under the age of 21, were found in a 2nd floor room. All three students were found to have consumed alcoholic beverages.

Parking Lot 80, 1900 Red River

Occurred on 2-11-05 between 8:45 a.m. and 5:15 p.m.

Leaving the Scene Collision: An unknown vehicle struck the left rear door of a blue 2001 Ford Taurus while it was parked in the middle of the lot. The driver of the striking vehicle left the scene without leaving notice on the vehicle that was struck. White paint transfer was left on the struck vehicle. Repair cost: $500.00.

Parking Lot 103, 2100 Comal Street

Occurred on 2-13-05 between 12:20 a.m. and 7:45 a.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The left window was broken out of a maroon Ford pick-up truck while it was parked in the Parking Lot. A JVC AM/FM/CD stereo, a Boss 1800 watt amplifier and a 12" subwoofer were stolen from the vehicle. Repair cost: $150.00. Loss value: $700.00.

Parking Lot 103, 2100 Comal Street

Occurred on 2-13-05 between 12:20 a.m. and 7:45 a.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The left window was broken out of a black Ford pick-up truck while it was parked in the Parking Lot. A Panasonic AM/FM/CD stereo, a Rockford Fosgate 300 watt amplifier and a speaker box containing 2 Rockford Fosgate subwoofers were stolen from the vehicle. Repair cost: $150.00. Loss value: $750.00.

Parking Lot 103, 2100 Comal Street

Occurred on 2-13-05 between 12:20 a.m. and 7:45 a.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The right side window was broken out of a Honda 2-door while it was parked in the Parking Lot. An unknown brand stereo was missing from the vehicle's console. The owner of the vehicle was not available to provide information when the broken window was discovered. Repair cost: $150.00. Loss value: Unknown at this time.

Parking Lot 103, 2100 Comal Street

Occurred on 2-13-05 between 12:20 a.m. and 7:45 a.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The right side window was broken out of a Chevrolet 4-door while it was parked in the Parking Lot. An unknown brand stereo was missing from the vehicle's console. The owner of the vehicle was not available to provide information when the broken window was discovered. Repair cost: $150.00. Loss value: Unknown at this time.

Parking Lot 103, 2100 Comal Street

Occurred on 2-13-05 at 3:55 a.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject approached a uniformed UTPD guard and solicited the guard for money, which is a violation of UT Regents' Rules and Regulations concerning solicitation. A UT police officer arrived and issued the subject a written criminal trespass warning.

Parking Lot 104, 1900 North IH-35

Occurred on 2-13-05 between 12:20 a.m. and 7:45 a.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The left window was broken out of a 1989 Chevrolet 2-door while it was parked in the Parking Lot. A Sony AM/FM/CD stereo was stolen from the vehicle. Repair cost: $150.00. Loss value: $200.00.

Parking Lot 104, 1900 North IH-35

Occurred on 2-13-05 between 12:20 a.m. and 7:45 a.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The left side window was broken out of an Acura 2-door while it was parked in the Parking Lot. A Kenwood stereo remote controller was stolen from the vehicle. Repair cost: $150.00. Loss value: $50.00.

Parking Lot 104, 1900 North IH-35

Occurred between 2-6-05 at 2:00 p.m. and 2-11-05 at 4:30 p.m.

Automobile Theft: A silver 1996 Honda Accord 2-door was stolen while it was parked on the west side of the Parking Lot. Loss value: $1,700.00.

Parking Lot 109, 2200 Leona Street

Occurred between 2-4-05 at 10:00 p.m. and 2-12-05 at 3:10 a.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The left front window was broken out of a tan colored Ford Escape sport utility vehicle while it was parked in the Parking Lot. An XM stereo, an XM stereo remote controller and a plastic bag containing an undetermined amount of change were stolen from the vehicle. Repair cost: $150.00. Loss value: $350.00.

Occurred on 2-14-05 at 1:40 a.m.

Driving While License Suspended: A UT student was stopped for turning right on a red light at an intersection having posted signs indicating "No Right Turn on Red" while driving a 2004 Toyota. The student was found to have a suspended driver's license.

2000 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 2-12-05 at 1:20 a.m.

Driving While Intoxicated / Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was stopped for disregarding three stop signs while driving a black 2004 Toyota 4-door. The student was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was driving while intoxicated.

2000 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred between 2-10-05 at 4:00 p.m. and 2-11-05 at 7:30 a.m.

Graffiti: Black spray paint was used to write an illegible word on the side of a traffic control gatehouse located in the middle of the roadway. Removal cost: $40.00.

San Jacinto Residence Hall, 309 East 21st Street

Occurred between 2-8-05 and 2-12-05 at 8:00 a.m.

Harassment: An unidentified subject has placed several lewd telephone calls to a 1st floor south tower dormitory room telephone. The resident used the *57 feature of her dormitory telephone number to trap the telephone number of the caller.

George I. Sánchez Building, 1912 Speedway

Occurred between 2-9-05 at 6:00 p.m. and 2-11-05 at 2:00 p.m.

Theft: A purple Fuji bicycle was stolen while it was secured with a u-lock to a bicycle rack located on the west side of the building. Loss value: $125.00.

Simkins Hall Dormitory, 2501 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 2-13-05 at 3:50 a.m.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was found in a stairwell on the 2nd level. As the student was running up the stairs, he "almost ran into" a police officer. The student was found to have consumed alcoholic beverages.

Simkins Hall Dormitory, 2501 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 2-13-05 at 3:42 a.m.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor (2 counts): Two UT students, who were both under the age of 21, were found in a 2nd floor hallway. One of the two students was not a resident of the dormitory. Both students were found to have consumed alcoholic beverages.

Simkins Hall Dormitory, 2501 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 2-12-05 at 3:30 a.m.

Possession of Marijuana / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia / Minor in Possession of Alcohol: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was found in a 1st floor room while in possession of a 12 ounce bottle of beer and a corncob pipe which contained burned marijuana residue.

2000 Speedway

Occurred on 2-12-05 at 1:36 a.m.

Driving Under the Influence by a Minor / Display of Altered Driver's License / Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: The driver of white Nissan sport utility vehicle was observed pulling over to check on the status of her front seat passenger who appeared to be "passed out." Both the driver and the passenger were identified as UT students who were under the age of 21. Both students were found to have consumed alcoholic beverages. The driver displayed her driver's license which had been altered to show a false date of birth.

Speedway Garage, 105 East 27th Street

Occurred between 2-6-05 and 2-11-05 at 10:00 a.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: An unknown device was used to unlock the doors to a 1996 Honda Civic 4-door while it was parked on level 4 of the garage. A Sony AM/FM 10 CD changer stereo system was stolen from the trunk of the vehicle. Two compact disc wallets containing a total of 50 compact discs were also stolen from the vehicle. Loss value: $600.00.

Walter Webb Hall, 2500 Guadalupe

Occurred on 2-13-05 at 6:10 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found lying on the ground by the east wall of the building. The subject had placed several items on the ground in an effort to "set-up camp." The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

1800 East 7th Street

Occurred on 2-13-05 at 12:27 a.m.

Driving While Intoxicated: A non-UT subject was stopped after disregarding a stop sign while driving a white Toyota. The driver was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was driving while intoxicated.

26th Street at Robert Dedman Drive

Occurred on 2-13-05 at 3:42 a.m.

Driving While Intoxicated: A non-UT subject was found inside a silver Ford 4-door after it had been involved in a traffic accident involving the vehicle and the center median. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he had been driving while intoxicated.

Noncriminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, UTPD responded to 31 alarm calls, 4 suspicious activity reports, 4 unsecured door reports, 2 collisions, 1 light survey report, 1 medical emergency report and 7 public assist calls between 2-11-05 and 2-14-05.
