Occurred on 2-16-05 at 12:50 a.m.
Theft: A building sign was stolen from the north exterior wall of the parking garage. A staff member observed four white male subjects steal the sign, enter the garage and drive out of the garage in a grey 4-door vehicle. The staff member reported the theft to a UT guard more than an hour after the theft. Loss value: $75.00.
Beauford H. Jester Center West, 201 East 21st Street
Occurred between 2-2-05 and 2-15-05.
Harassment: An unidentified caller has placed several unwanted telephone calls to a 5th floor resident's dormitory telephone. The caller would hang the telephone up as soon as the resident would answer. The resident used the *57 feature of his dormitory telephone to trap the telephone number of the caller.
2800 South Congress
Occurred on 2-15-05 at 4:52 p.m.
Stolen Vehicle Recovery: A silver Honda Accord, which had been reported stolen earlier this month was found abandoned on the side of the road.
1900 Trinity
Discovered on 2-15-05 at 3:42 p.m.
Criminal Mischief: The wire fencing surrounding the Santa Rita No. 1 Oil Rig had been cut. Five light bulbs to flood lights which illuminate the rig were broken out. The electrical wires to a speaker box had been cut and the electrical wire to a second speaker box was pulled from the speaker box. Repair cost: $300.00.
Whitaker Fields, 51st Street and Guadalupe
Discovered on 2-15-05 at 7:45 a.m.
Graffiti: Black spray paint was used to write a word on a metal parking permit sign located by an entrance to the west side Parking Lot. Removal cost: $35.00.

Occurred at various times.
Noncriminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, UTPD responded to 11 alarm calls, 3 unsecured door reports, 1 collision, 1 stuck elevator report, 1 suspicious activity report, and 2 public assists and conducted 2 light surveys between 2-15-05 and 2-16-05.
