Brackenridge Apartments, 3452 Lake Austin Blvd.

Occurred between 2-19-05 at 10:30 p.m. and 2-20-05 at 8:45 a.m.

Theft: A grey and blue 4' by 4' fitted motorcycle cover was stolen while it was left on a motor scooter that was parked on the east side of Bldg 3452. Loss value: $35.00.

600 Colorado

Occurred on 2-20-05 at 1:40 a.m.

Public Intoxication: A UT staff member was found staggering and swaying while looking for his parked vehicle, which he believed was parked in a "small white storage unit." The subject became belligerent while speaking with the police officer. The staff member was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself or others.

Colorado Apartments, 2501 Lake Austin Blvd.

Occurred between 2-17-05 at 5:00 p.m. and 2-18-05 at 8:30 a.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The right front window was broken out of a blue 1995 Honda Civic while it was parked on the north side of Bldg E. An unknown brand portable compact disc player was stolen from the vehicle. Loss value: $50.00. Repair cost: $150.00.

Goldsmith Hall, #5 West Mall

Occurred on 2-18-05 between 9:15 p.m. and 9:18 p.m.

Suspicious Activity: A UT student reported seeing two unidentified subjects pulling on bicycle locks on several bicycles that were secured to a bicycle rack on the north side of the building. The two subjects were described as a Hispanic male, 5'8" tall wearing a dark colored jacket and an Asian female wearing a jacket.

Living Learning Center, 2610 Whitis Avenue

Occurred on 2-19-05 at 12:30 a.m.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: A UT student was found in a 1st floor dormitory room while in possession of a 4" multicolored glass pipe which contained burned marijuana residue.

200 West Martin Luther King Blvd.

Occurred on 2-20-05 at 4:00 a.m.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was found crossing the road with the assistance of another subject. The student was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.

Parking Lot 104, 1900 North IH-35

Occurred on 2-20-05 at 12 midnight.

Driving Under the Influence by a Minor: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was observed pulling into a parking space. A passenger of the vehicle exited the vehicle while holding several bottles of beer — one of which had been opened. Another open bottle of beer was found inside the vehicle. The driver was found to have consumed alcoholic beverages.

Parking Lot 104, 1900 North IH-35

Occurred on 2-19-05 at 4:00 a.m.

Assist Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was found "lying under a tree" in the southwest corner of the Parking Lot. The subject had been drinking. The subject was found to have two outstanding outside agency arrest warrants for traffic violations.

Parking Lot 115, 1600 East 20th Street

Occurred between 1-30-05 at 3:00 p.m. and 2-18-05 at 6:30 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: An unknown device was used to puncture the right side door to a tan 1997 GMC Sierra pick-up truck while it was parked and unattended. The damage caused the door to unlock. An Alpine AM/FM/CD with a removable faceplate was stolen from the vehicle. Repair cost: $200.00. Loss value: $150.00.

San Antonio Garage, 2420 San Antonio

Occurred on 2-19-05 at 7:25 a.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found sleeping in the stairwell on the 4th level of the garage. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

1900 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 2-20-05 at 1:30 a.m.

Assist Outside Agency: A non-UT subject, driving a black 1996 GMC SUV, was stopped after turning right at a red light intersection which has a posted sign prohibiting right hand turns when the traffic light is red. The subject was found to have an outstanding outside agency arrest warrant for possession of a controlled substance — cocaine.

Occurred on 2-20-05 at 4:35 a.m.

Driving Under the Influence by a Minor: A non-UT subject, who was under the age of 21, was stopped after disregarding a traffic control device while driving a green 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser. The subject was found to have consumed an alcoholic beverage.

1900 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 2-19-04 at 11:34 p.m.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was stopped while swaying back and forth on a sidewalk. The student had evidence of a severe involuntary physical reaction to the over-consumption of an alcoholic beverage on the front of his shirt. The student was found to have consumed an alcoholic beverage that did not agree with him.

2500 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 2-19-05 at 11:58 p.m.

Driving While Intoxicated: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was stopped for traveling 35 MPH in a 15 MPH zone while driving a black 2003 Acura. The student was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was driving while intoxicated.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 2-20-05 at 8:30 p.m.

Possession of Marijuana / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: A non-UT subject was found smoking a hand rolled cigarette containing marijuana while sitting on the west side of the building. The subject was found to be in possession of a metal tin which contained a small amount of marijuana.

Walter Webb Hall, 2500 Guadalupe

Discovered on 2-18-05 at 7:30 a.m.

Graffiti: An unidentified subject(s) climbed on the roof of an adjoining business and used white paint and a paint roller to write a 6' tall word on the 2nd level of the north exterior wall of the building. Removal cost: $150.00.

Whitaker Fields, 51st Street and Guadalupe

Occurred on 2-20-05 at 11:45 p.m.

Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject was found staggering into a lane of traffic on the west side of the property. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.

100 West 21st Street

Occurred on 2-20-05 at 4:15 a.m.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor (2 counts): Two UT students were observed crossing the roadway when one of the them began to stagger. Both students were found to be under the age of 21 and under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.

Occurred at various times.

Noncriminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, UTPD responded to 24 alarm calls, 3 unsecured door reports, 1 accidental damage report, 2 suspicious activity reports, 2 found property reports, 1 welfare concern report, and 3 public assist calls between 2-18-05 and 2-21-05.
