Discovered on 2-22-05 at 12:15 a.m.
Graffiti: Red paint was used to write letters on the east exterior wall of the building. Removal cost: $35.00.
Mary E. Gearing Hall, 200 West 24th Street
Occurred between 6-1-04 and 9-1-04.
Theft: A Samsung SVP 6000 document camera was stolen from an unsecured 2nd floor classroom. Loss value: $3,000.00.
Parking Lot 110, 2200 Comal Street
Occurred on 2-21-05 at 3:36 p.m.
Suspicious Activity: A UT staff member reported seeing a blue Ford Escort driving slowly through the Parking Lot. A back seat passenger was reported as "leaning out and looking into parked vehicles" as the Escort drove through the Parking Lot. The Escort did not have a UT parking permit. The only description of the subjects in the Escort was three Hispanic males, one of whom was wearing an orange skull cap.
Simkins Hall Dormitory, 2501 San Jacinto Blvd.
Occurred on 2-21-05 between 6:20 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Harassment: An unidentified subject(s) has placed several "verbally abusive" telephone calls to a 1st floor resident's dormitory telephone. The resident used the *57 feature on his dormitory phone to trap the caller's number.
T. S. Painter Hall, 103 West 24th Street
Occurred between 2-18-05 at 4:00 p.m. and 2-21-05 at 10:00 a.m.
Criminal Mischief: A brick was thrown through a 2' by 1.5' greenhouse glass window pane located near the entry door to a greenhouse on the south side of the building. Repair cost: $50.00.

Noncriminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, UTPD responded to 6 alarm calls, 3 suspicious activity reports, 1 found property report, 2 medical emergencies, and 2 public assist calls between 2-21-05 and 2-22-05.
