Experimental Science Building, 100 East 24th Street

Reported 3-10-05 at 7:15 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: Metal shavings and small pieces of wood were found inside a 1st floor lock after the lock malfunctioned, preventing the door from being unlocked. Loss value $30.00.

Main Building, #1 South Mall

Occurred on 3-10-05 between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Harassment: A UT staff member reported receiving four telephone calls that were alarming and annoying.

RED MCCOMBS Graduate School of Business, 100 West 21st Street

Occurred on 3-10-05 between 1:30 a.m. and 4:00 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: A silver plated metal door handle was removed from the exterior door of a 4th floor office. The bolts used to secure the door handle to the door frame had been sheered off flush with the door. Loss value: $200.00.

San Jacinto Dormitory, 309 East 21st Street

Reported on 3-10-05 at 9:00 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: A three foot light pole inside the east court yard was discovered pulled from it's footing. The glass globe was destroyed when the pole impacted with the ground. Loss value $250.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 3-10-05 at 8:08 p.m.

Aggravated Assault: A non-UT subject reported getting involved in a verbal confrontation with another non-UT subject just outside the 2nd floor movie theater. During the verbal argument the second subject pulled a 4.75 inch fixed blade knife from his front pocket and advanced toward the first subject with the knife pointed at him. After a brief struggle the knife was knocked from the suspect's hand and he fled the area towards PCL where he was taken into custody.

Noncriminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, UTPD responded to 8 alarm calls, 2 medical emergency calls, 2 unsecured door reports, 1 welfare concern report, 1 motor vehicle collision, and 2 public assist reports between 3-10-05 and 3-11-05.
