Gregory Gymnasium, 2100 Speedway

Occurred on 3-21-05 between 10:30 p.m. and 11:45 p.m.

Theft / Credit Card Abuse: A black wallet containing three credit cards and various identification cards were stolen from inside a closed gym bag that was left unattended beside a second floor basketball court. It was later discovered that there had been several unauthorized charges made using the stolen credit cards at local area businesses. Loss value is unknown at this time.

Gregory Gymnasium, 2100 Speedway

Occurred on 3-23-05 at 12:15 a.m.

Theft / Criminal Trespass / Assist Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was found sitting next to an open wallet that had been left unattended while the owner was playing basketball. The non-UT subject told the owner of the wallet that an Asian female had kicked his wallet open. The owner discovered that his money had been taken. During the investigation the non-UT subject was found to have entered into a restricted area reserved for staff, students, and invited guests. He was also found to have six outstanding outside agency arrest warrants.

T. S. Painter Hall, 103 West 24th Street

Occurred on 3-22-05 between 9:30 a.m. and 11:20 p.m.

Theft: A grey Trek 27-speed mountain bicycle was stolen from bike racks on the south side of the building after being secured with a cable lock. Loss value $300.00.

T. S. Painter Hall, 103 West 24th Street

Occurred on 3-21-05 between 7:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Theft: A silver 26-inch Magna mountain bicycle was stolen from the bike racks on the south side of the building after being secured with a cable lock. Loss value $50.00.

West Mall Office Building, #3 West Mall

Occurred between 3-10-05 at 3:30 p.m. and 3-22-05 2:05 p.m.

Theft: A Dell computer, a flat panel monitor, and a wireless mouse were stolen from a secured 4th floor office. Loss value $2,274.

Wooldridge Hall, 600 West 24th Street

Occurred between 3-8-05 and 3-9-05.

Theft: A Canon PowerShot digital camera was reported stolen from an unsecured first floor office. Loss value $150.00.

Occurred at various times.

Noncriminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, UTPD responded to 18 alarm calls, 2 unsecured door reports, 4 suspicious activity reports, 1 found property report and 4 public assist reports between 3-21-05 and 3-22-05.
