Colorado Apartments, 2500 Block Lake Austin Blvd.

Occurred on 4-14-05 between 3:00 a.m. and 7:15 a.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The passenger window of a 1994 Jeep was discovered cut out and a black military duffle bag containing a military police bullet proof vest, handcuffs, and flashlight was stolen. Loss value: $600.00. Damage to vehicle: $250.00.

Occurred on 4-14-05 between 3:00 a.m. and 7:15 a.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The front passenger window of a green 2001 Isuzu was broken out and a Sony AM/FM/CD stereo along with a tan leather CD case containing 100 German CDs were stolen. Loss value: $250.00. Damage to vehicle: $300.00.

Occurred on 4-14-05 between 3:00 a.m. and 7:15 a.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: A JVC stereo faceplate along with a metal toolbox were stolen from an unsecured Mitsubishi. Loss value: $240.00.

Criminal Mischief: The driver's side window of a 1994 Toyota truck was discovered broken out. No property was reported stolen. Loss value: $150.00.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The rear driver's window of a 1997 Saturn was found pried away from the frame and the factory installed stereo system was stolen. Loss value: $250.00. Damage to vehicle: $200.00.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The passenger's side window of a 1992 Toyota was found broken out and an attempt to remove a Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo failed, causing heavy damage to both the dash and stereo. The detachable faceplate was taken. Loss value: $350.00. Damage to vehicle: $500.00.

Occurred on 4-14-05 between 3:00 a.m. and 7:15 a.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: A flat object was used to force the driver's side window out of its frame, causing the window to break on a 1995 Chevy sedan. A Sony AM/FM/CD stereo was removed from the dash. Loss value: $200.00. Damage to vehicle: $200.00.

Occurred on 4-14-05 between 3:00 a.m. and 7:15 a.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The passenger window of a 1998 Honda was found broken out and a Sony Exploder AM/FM/CD stereo was stolen along with a CD case containing 50 CDs of various artists. Loss value: $250.00. Damage to vehicle: $200.00.

Occurred on 4-14-05 between 3:00 a.m. and 7:15 a.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The driver's side window of a 1990 Oldsmobile was broken out and a JVC AM/FM/CD stereo was stolen from the vehicle. Loss value: $200.00. Damage to vehicle: $200.00.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The driver's side front window of a 2001 Honda was discovered broken out and a removable Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo was taken from the dash. Loss value: $200.00. Damage to vehicle: $200.00.

Occurred on 4-14-05 between 3:00 a.m. and 7:15 a.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The passenger window of a 1996 Saturn was found broken out and a JVC AM/FM/CD player with a removable faceplate was taken, causing damage to the dash. Loss value: $250.00. Damage to vehicle: $250.00.

Parking Lot 108, 1500 Block Red River

Occurred on 4-14-05 at 3:03 p.m.

Leaving the Scene of a Collision: The driver of a red Chevy van hit a parked and unattended red Toyota truck, then left the area. The collision was witnessed by a non-UT subject, who offered her cellular telephone to the driver of the van to report the collision. The witness described the driver as a very heavy-set, white male, grey hair and last seen wearing a red tee-shirt. The driver of the van was located later by police officers. He stated to them that he was unable to contact the police since he is disabled. Damage to the red Toyota consisted of a 2' x 4" x 3" dent on the driver's side door. Damage to vehicle: $2,500.

Perry-Castañeda Library, 101 East 21st Street

Occurred between 4-13-05 at 2:30 p.m. and 4-14-05 at 1:58 p.m.

Theft: A green colored Diamondback mountain bicycle was stolen from the bike racks on the northeast side of the building after being secured with a U-shaped lock. Loss value: $100.00.

Beauford H. Jester Center West, 201 East 21st Street

Occurred on 4-14-05 at 11:27 p.m.

Public Intoxication/ Consumption of alcohol by a Minor: Two UT students, both under the legal age of 21 were discovered inside a 3rd floor stairwell — one student demonstrating an extreme involuntary physical reaction to the over consumption of an alcoholic beverage. The student continued to display such a reaction such that Austin EMS was needed to transport him to a local emergency room for treatment of alcohol poisoning. The second student denied having consumed any alcohol even though there was a very strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. While denying being intoxicated, this student attempted to interfere with the EMS techs by opening up their equipment bags and rummaging through them while they were treating his friend for alcohol poisoning.

Kinsolving Dormitory, 2605 Whitis Ave.

Occurred on 4-14-05 between 10:00 a.m. and 11:19 p.m.

Harassing Communications: Several annoying telephone calls were received inside a 5th floor dormitory room. The caller may have been using downloaded voice clips since the voice patterns changed. The resident did use the *57 feature and trapped one of the annoying telephone calls.

2100 Block Speedway

Occurred on 4-14-05 between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Theft: A purple Huffy mountain bicycle was stolen from the bike racks on the west of Gregory Gym after being secured with a combination cable lock. Loss value: $150.00.

Occurred at various times.

Noncriminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, UTPD responded to 7 alarm calls, 2 unsecured door reports, 1 public assist report, and 2 medical emergency calls, 1 collision, and 1 suspicious activity report between 4-14-05 and 4-15-05.
