Claudia Taylor Johnson Hall, 210 West 6th Street

Occurred on 5-7-05 at 2:45 a.m.

Public Intoxication: A male non-UT subject was observed assisting a female non-UT subject with her walking. The two subjects stopped at the southwest side of the building and began to engage in a public display of affection for approximately 12 minutes. During this time, the female subject had difficulty maintaining her balance. When stopped, the male subject stated he and the female subject were "long time friends" and that he intended to drive them both home. A short time later, the male subject stated he had first met the female subject that night. The female subject became belligerent. The female subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point she was a physical endangerment to herself.

600 Colorado

Occurred on 5-8-05 at 2:30 a.m.

Driving While Intoxicated: A non-UT subject, who was under the age of 21, was stopped while driving a 1996 Toyota 4-Runner after turning the wrong way onto a one-way roadway and nearly striking a police officer who was crossing the street to back-up another officer on an unrelated call. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was driving while intoxicated.

1600 Congress

Occurred on 5-7-05 at 2:00 a.m.

Driving While Intoxicated / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia / Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon / Possession of a Fictitious Driver's License: A non-UT subject, who was under the age of 21, was stopped for speeding and running a red light while driving a 1993 Honda 4-door. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was driving while intoxicated. A double edged bayonet and a hollowed out Bic pen containing cocaine residue were found.

Experimental Science Building, 100 East 24th Street

Occurred on 5-6-05 between 7:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m.

Theft: A black nylon backpack containing two notebooks with the owner's dissertation notes and a box containing a dozen doughnuts were stolen when they were left on a couch next to a 5th floor office. Loss value: $19.50.

Gregory Gymnasium, 2101 Speedway

Occurred on 4-27-05 between 3:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Theft: A stainless steel Raymond Weil wristwatch was stolen when it was left in a tray attached to a treadmill inside a weight room. Loss value: $1,400.00.

2100 Guadalupe

Occurred on 5-7-05 at 11:45 p.m.

Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject was found lying on his back in a "state of unconsciousness." The subject was unable to state the date or time of day. According to discharge papers, the subject had been released from jail the previous day after serving time for public intoxication. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.

2100 Gudalupe

Occurred on 5-7-05 at 11:50 p.m.

Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject was found lying on his side on the wet pavement. The subject had difficulty waking up and, when awakened, had difficulty speaking. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.

Beauford H. Jester Center East, 203 East 21st Street

Occurred on 5-9-05 at 2:30 a.m.

Evading: A UT student was reported as yelling profanities and refusing to show his student identification card as required for entry into the dormitory after hours. Upon approach of a University of Texas Police Officer, the subject ignored the officer's commands to stop and entered an elevator to proceed to his 8th floor dormitory room.

Recreational Sports Center, 2001 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 5-5-05 between 12:20 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Theft: A burnt orange wallet with a silver UT logo that contained $8.00, credit cards and identification cards was stolen from a backpack that was left inside an unsecured coin operated locker inside a 3rd floor weight room. Loss value: $15.00.

1900 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 5-6-05 at 3:20 a.m.

Driving While Intoxicated: A UT student was stopped for speeding and driving on the left side of the roadway while operating a Ford Ranger pick-up truck. The student was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was driving while intoxicated.

2300 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 5-7-05 at 9:30 p.m.

Assist Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was stopped for driving the wrong way on a one-way roadway while operating a red Mitsubishi 4-door. The subject was found to have three outstanding outside agency arrest warrants for traffic violations.

2300 Trinity

Occurred on 5-6-05 at 8:09 p.m.

Possession of a Controlled Substance / Possession of Marijuana / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: A non-UT subject was stopped for driving the wrong way on a one-way roadway while operating a white BMW 2-door. The subject was found to be in possession of a plastic bag containing Psilocybin Mushrooms. A passenger in the vehicle, who was also a non-UT subject, was found to be in possession of a plastic bag containing marijuana and a multi-colored glass pipe containing marijuana residue.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 5-6-05 at 4:11 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found sleeping in a chair in a 3rd floor area reserved for faculty, staff and students. The subject was found to have previously been issued a written criminal trespass warning.

361 West 6th Street

Occurred on 5-7-05 at 1:10 a.m.

Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject was found "slumped over" on the sidewalk near the entrance to a night club. The subject stated his friends were still inside the night club. The subject stated he had been escorted out of the night club for being "too intoxicated." The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.

200 East 21st Street

Occurred on 5-7-05 at 3:28 a.m.

Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject, who was under the age of 21, activated the emergency call box located on the north side of the roadway. The subject advised she needed assistance finding her friends. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. The subject progressively became more intoxicated to the point she was no longer able to determine her location.

200 West 24th Street

Discovered on 5-8-05 at 5:45 p.m.

Leaving the Scene Collision: The left side mirror to a Volkswagon 4-door was struck while the vehicle was parallel parked on the south side of the street. The driver of the striking vehicle left the scene without leaving driver information. Repair cost: $250.00.

Noncriminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, UTPD responded to 12 alarm calls, 6 unsecured door reports, 5 suspicious activity reports, 9 public assist requests, 1 welfare concern report, 1 found property report, 4 medical emergency reports and 1 collision report between 5-6-05 and 5-9-05.
