San Jacinto Residence Hall, 309 East 21st Street
Occurred on 7-26-05 at 9:52 p.m.
Harassment: An unidentified subject placed a threatening telephone call to a 4th floor resident's cellular telephone. The caller stated he would cause bodily harm to the resident because the resident had been talking to the caller's girlfriend.
1800 Trinity
Occurred on 7-27-05 at 2:20 a.m.
Driving While Intoxicated: A UT student was stopped for running a red light while driving a 2002 Volkswagon 4-door. The student was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was driving while intoxicated.
21st Street between Speedway and Guadalupe
Occurred on 7-25-05 between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Theft / Credit Card Abuse: A black leather wallet containing various identification cards, credit cards and a debit card was stolen when it was left on a UT Bus between 21st Street at Speedway and 21st Street at Guadalupe Street. Prior to canceling the credit and debit cards, unauthorized charges totaling $583.32 were made at local stores. Loss value $5.00.
Crime Prevention Tip
To help ensure your credit/debit cards are not being used by another, consider writing "ASK FOR A PICTURE ID" in the signature block on the back of your cards. This will prompt a cashier to ask for identification of the cardholder. If you discover your cards have been lost or stolen, you should cancel them as soon as possible and make a police report.

Noncriminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, UTPD responded to 5 alarm calls, 1 unsecured door, 3 suspicious activity reports, 1 public assist request, and 1 accidental damage report between 7-26-05 and 7-27-05.
