Andrews Dormitory, 2401 Whitis Avenue
Occurred on 7-30-05 2:30 a.m.
Minor in Possession of Alcohol / Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia / Possession of Marijuana: Four UT students, all under the age of 21, were found in a 1st floor dormitory room that was emanating loud music after hours. Several partially full / empty cans of beer were scattered around the room. Two empty bottles of liquor, one empty bottle of vodka and a partially full bottle of Everclear were found in the room. A multi-colored glass pipe and a plastic bag containing marijuana were also found in the room. One of the four students was found to have consumed alcoholic beverages.
Occurred on 7-31-05 at 3:30 a.m.
Driving While Intoxicated / Possession of Marijuana / Possession of Drug paraphernalia / Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: While assisting a second officer with a traffic stop, a police officer observed a non-UT subject strike a curb while driving a red Ford pick-up truck. The collision caused the vehicle's right wheel to "explode." The subject drove onto the sidewalk and back onto the roadway. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was driving while intoxicated. A passenger in the vehicle, who was under the age of 21, was found to have consumed alcoholic beverages. A multi-colored glass pipe, containing marijuana, was found in the center console of the vehicle.

Occurred on 7-30-05 at 4:10 a.m.
Driving While Intoxicated: A non-UT subject was stopped for driving a 1993 Ford at night without its headlamps activated. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was driving while intoxicated.
Beauford H. Jester Center, 201 East 21st Street
Occurred on 7-30-05 at 6:40 a.m.
Theft: A UT student was stopped while attempting to walk out of the cafeteria with one banana in his front pocket and another banana in his back pocket. Cafeteria staff members have warned the student on three prior occasions that he was not allowed to remove food from the cafeteria. Recovery value: $1.00.
200 East Jester Circle
Occurred on 7-29-05 at 3:21 p.m.
Aggravated Assault: Two non-UT subjects, who work on a nearby construction site, engaged in an argument while crossing the street. When one of the two construction workers produced a knife, the other one raised a wooden stick to defend himself. At that point, both parties separated and went their separate ways.

Occurred on 7-31-05 at 2:50 a.m.
Driving Under the Influence by a Minor: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was stopped for disregarding a red light and nearly striking a marked patrol vehicle while driving a black 1999 Jeep Cherokee. The student was found to have consumed alcoholic beverages, but not to the point he was driving while intoxicated.
Parking Lot 116, Dean Keeton at IH-35
Discovered on 7-29-05 at 7:30 a.m.
Graffiti: Black paint and a permanent black marker were used to write words on a portable storage container in the east side of the Parking Lot. Removal cost: $40.00.

Occurred on 7-31-05 at 3:08 a.m.
Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: A non-UT subject, who was under the age of 21, was found sleeping in the back seat of an unsecured Ford Focus. The subject was found to have consumed alcoholic beverages.
Walter Webb Hall, 2500 Guadalupe
Discovered on 7-30-05 at 6:15 a.m.
Criminal Mischief: White chalk was used to draw a symbol and write words on the east exterior wall of the building. Removal cost: $20.00.
Whitaker Fields, 51st Street and Guadalupe
Occurred on 7-30-05 at 8:11 a.m.
Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found sleeping by a portable storage building located on the property. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
300 West 24th Street
Occurred on 7-30-05 at 2:05 a.m.
Public Intoxication / Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was observed assisting a second UT student, also under the age of 21, as they crossed the roadway. The first student was holding the second student up to keep him from falling. Both students were found to have consumed alcoholic beverages. The first student was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.
Occurred at various times.
Noncriminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, UTPD responded to 18 alarm calls, 7 unsecured door reports, 11 public assist requests, 3 medical emergencies, 1 welfare concern report, 1 collision and 1 suspicious activity report between 7-29-05 and 8-1-05.
