27th Street Garage, 109 West 27th Street
Occurred on 11-1-05 between 10:00 AM and 5:55 PM.
Leaving the Scene Collision: An unknown white vehicle struck the left rear bumper of a black Lincoln 4-door while the Lincoln was parked in the northwest corner of the top level of the garage. The striking vehicle left white paint transfer on the bumper of the Lincoln. The driver of the striking vehicle left the scene of the collision without leaving driver information. Repair cost: $300.00.
2500 San Jacinto
Occurred on 11-1-05 between 2:30 PM and 3:00 PM.
Theft: An LG cell phone was stolen after it was left on a bus stop bench located on the east side of the road. The owner called his stolen cell phone number and a person with broken english answered the telephone and advised he would return the phone if the owner paid a reward. The subject hung up when the owner protested the ransom. Loss value: $100.00.
Union Building, #4 West Mall
Occurred on 10-31-05 between 12 noon and 5:00 PM.
Theft: A silver colored Roadmaster bicycle was stolen while it was secured with a cable lock to a bicycle rack located on the east side of the building. Loss value: $100.00.
Occurred at various times.
Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, The University of Texas Police Department responded to 6 alarm calls, 2 suspicious activity reports, 1 medical emergency, 1 welfare concern report and 3 requests for service between 11-1-05 and 11-2-05.
