Blanton Dormitory, 2500 University

Occurred between 12-17-05 at 12 noon and 01-19-06 at 3:00 PM.

Theft: A silver Trek 7300FX bicycle was stolen while it was secured with a chain lock to a bicycle rack located inside the Blanton Quad. Loss value: $600.00.

Etter-Harbin Alumni Center, 2110 San Jacinto

Occurred between 01-17-06 at 11:30 AM and 01-20-06 at 3:00 PM.

Harassment: A non-UT subject has placed two annoying and unwanted telephone calls of a substantial length to a UT staff members office telephone. The subject is a former acquaintance of the staff members co-worker.

Peter T. Flawn Academic Center, #2 West Mall

Occurred on 01-21-06 at 1:00 AM.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was found staggering near the planter boxes located on the east side of the building. The student was found to have consumed alcoholic beverages.

Prather Hall Dormitory, 305 East 21st Street

Occurred between 01-21-06 at 10:00 PM and 01-22-06 at 9:15 PM.

Theft: A Specialized Hardrock bicycle was stolen while the front wheel was secured with a u-lock to a bicycle rack located on west side of the dormitory. The front wheel and u-lock were not stolen. Loss value: $400.00.

San Jacinto Residence Hall, 309 East 21st Street

Occurred on 01-22-06 at 1:57 AM.

Theft: A UT student reported seeing a non-UT subject using a tool to cut the cable lock being used to secure a Schwinn High Plains bicycle to the bicycle rack located on the southwest side of the dormitory. The officer arrived before the subject could finish cutting the lock and ordered the subject to turn around. The subject faced the officer while holding a knife. Upon seeing the officers reaction, the subject rapidly became compliant. The subject stated he planned to heist the bicycle to use as transportation home. Recovery cost: $150.00.

Walter Webb Hall, 2500 Guadalupe

Occurred between 01-19-06 at 9:09 AM and 01-20-06 at 7:10 AM.

Graffiti: An unknown subject(s) used an acid to etch a word into an exterior window located on the southeast side of the building. Repair cost: $150.00.

2300 Guadalupe

Occurred on 01-21-06 at 1:52 AM.

Driving While Intoxicated / Consumption of alcohol by a Minor: A non-UT subject, who was under the age of 21, was stopped for disregarding a red light while driving a silver 2006 VW. The driver was found to have consumed alcoholic beverages to the point he was driving while intoxicated. A non-UT passenger of the vehicle, who was also under the age of 21, was found to have consumed alcoholic beverages.

2300 Guadalupe

Occurred on 01-22-06 at 12:50 AM.

Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject was found passed out lying face-up on the sidewalk in the rain. After several attempts to awaken the subject, he began to use several obscene words and hand gestures in defiance of his being stopped, or awakened as it were. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself and others.

2300 San Antonio

Occurred on 01-21-06 at 3:42 AM.

Driving Under the Influence by a Minor: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was stopped for driving the wrong way on a one-way roadway in a silver Jeep Liberty. The student was found to have consumed alcoholic beverages, but not to the point she was driving while intoxicated.

2500 San Antonio

Occurred on 01-23-06 at 2:34 AM.

Assist Outside Agency: UT police received a report of a subject who was committing acts of graffiti on the sidewalk. Responding officer found a person matching the description of the subject sitting inside a parked Honda Accord. The subject was found to be in possession of a black permanent marker and a notebook with several drawings and words of a graffiti nature. No acts of fresh graffiti were located. The subject was found to have an outstanding outside agency arrest warrant for speeding.

600 North Lamar

Occurred on 01-21-06 at 2:50 AM.

Driving While Intoxicated: A non-UT subject was stopped after making a wide turn onto the roadway and striking a curb while driving a blue Chevrolet Trailblazer. The subject was found to have consumed alcoholic beverages to the point he was driving while intoxicated.

200 East 21st Street

Occurred on 01-21-06 at 2:00 AM.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was found being assisted by two of his friends while attempting to cross the street. The student was found to have consumed alcoholic beverages.

300 East 21st Street

Occurred on 01-22-06 at 3:08 AM.

Driving Under the Influence by a Minor: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was stopped for speeding and disregarding a stop sign while driving a blue 2002 BMW. The student was found to have consumed alcoholic beverages, but not to the point he was driving while intoxicated.

200 West 21st Street

Occurred on 01-21-06 at 3:24 AM.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: A UT student and two non-UT subjects were observed staggering down the sidewalk. The student was found to be under the age of 21 and had consumed alcoholic beverages.

300 East 24th Street

Occurred on 01-22-06 at 11:39 PM.

Driving While Intoxicated: A non-UT subject was stopped for driving the wrong way on a one-way roadway while driving a grey 1988 Mazda. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was driving while intoxicated.

Occurred at various times.

Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, The University of Texas Police Department responded to 14 alarm calls, 6 unsecured door reports, 9 requests for assistance, 2 medical emergency calls, 4 lighting surveys, 1 stuck elevator and 4 suspicious activity reports between 01-20-06 and 01-23-06.
