Claudia Taylor Johnson Hall, 210 West 6th Street

Occurred on 03-20-06 at 3:12 AM.

Public Intoxication: Three non- UT subjects were engaged in an argument while on the east side of the building. The reporting person advised that at one point, the male subject grabbed one of the two female subjects and pulled her arm. That subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself and others.

College of Business Administration, 2110 Speedway

Occurred on 03-19-06 at 3:40 AM.

Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject, who was under the age of 21, was observed running on the east side of the building wearing nothing more than his boxers. The subject appeared wet and had numerous abrasions on his legs. The subject stated he was wet as he had been swimming in the fountain. The subjects pants and shirt were found by the Littlefield Fountain. When asked where his shoes were, the subject replied, probably on someones feet. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.

Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, 405 East 23rd Street

Occurred on 03-19-06 at 4:59 AM.

Assist Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was stopped after being observed pulling on entrance gates located on the east side of the stadium. The subject was found to have two outstanding outside agency arrest warrants for theft and failure to appear in court.

Gregory Gym, 2101 Speedway

Occurred on 03-19-06 between 3:00 PM and 5:15 PM.

Theft: An unknown object was used to pry open the bottom half of a locker door to a locker located inside a 2nd floor mens locker room. An LG3700 cell phone and a wallet containing $30.00 cash, two credit cards and a debit card were stolen from the locker. Repair cost: $50.00. Loss value: $150.00.

Jester Center East, 203 East 21st Street

Occurred on 03-18-06 between 11:45 AM and 12 noon.

Theft: A silver Fossil watch was stolen after it was left on a bench located outside of a shower located inside a 2nd floor mens restroom shower. The owner of the watch could hear the door to the shower room open twice, but did not hear anyone around his property as he took a shower. Loss value: $70.00.

Littlefield Fountain, 200 West 21st Street

Occurred on 03-19-06 at 3:25 AM.

Consumption of alcohol by a Minor / Failure To Identify / Providing Alcohol to a Minor: Two UT students were found swimming in the fountain. Upon the approach of a police officer, one of the students, who was under the age of 21, began to flee on foot. The student demonstrated good judgment and stopped when the officer ordered her to do so. That student initially provided officers with a fictitious date of birth. When confronted with this, the student had difficulty remembering her date of birth until her swimming companion reminded her. The student was found to have consumed alcoholic beverages. The swimming companion admitted to serving alcohol to the minor.

O. Henry Hall, 601 Colorado

Occurred on 03-19-06 at 3:40 AM.

Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject was found using the west wall of the building to maintain his balance while he staggered on the sidewalk. The subject had difficulty finding his cell phone which he later discovered in his shirt pocket. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.

Performing Arts Center, 510 East 23rd Street

Occurred on 03-17-06 at 11:35 PM.

Assault by Threat / Failure to Identify: Two non-UT subjects had approached a subject working security at the loading dock door during a concert and demanded entrance to the back stage to obtain a picture of their apparently favorite performer. At one point, one of the two subjects removed her shoe, pointed it at the employee and threatened to hit the employee with the shoe. Both subjects were found loitering in the roadway. When asked for identifying information, one of the subjects provided the officer with a fictitious name.

Robert Lee Moore Hall, 2515 Speedway

Occurred on 03-17-06 at 11:05 AM.

Attempted Theft: A UT staff member reported an unidentified subject entered the 4th floor library, removed two posters from the wall and attempted to make copies of the posters. The subject then exited the library with the two posters. The staff member stopped the subject who claimed he was going to make color copies of the posters and planned to return the posters. The subject gave the posters back to the staff member and left the area. The subject was described as a white male in his 40s, approximately 5 9 tall, with dark hair and light facial hair, wearing dark blue shorts, a black baseball cap and carrying a black backpack.

San Jacinto Garage, 2401 San Jacinto

Occurred between 03-11-06 at 3:00 PM and 3-19-06 at 7:30 PM.

Theft: A dark grey Gary Fischer bicycle was stolen while it was secured with a cable lock to a bicycle rack located on the ground level of the parking garage. Loss value: 200.00.

600 Colorado

Occurred on 03-18-06 at 2:20 AM.

Driving While Intoxicated: A non-UT subject was stopped for driving a white Nissan Pathfinder the wrong way on a one-way roadway. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was found to have been driving while intoxicated.

2300 Guadalupe

Occurred on 03-18-06 at 2:50 AM.

Public Intoxication: A UT student was observed using a brick wall as a sober buddy as he needed the wall to maintain his balance. The student had evidence on the front of his shirt which suggested he could not hold his liquor or at least hold it down. The student was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.

2400 Guadalupe

Occurred on 03-19-06 at 2:04 am.

Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject was observed staggering and swaying while attempting to walk along the sidewalk. The subject was not aware of his location, or of the hotel he was staying at. When the officer asked the subject if he knew anyone who could pick him up and take care of him, the subject replied he did not know anyone who could physically carry him. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.

1300 San Antonio

Occurred on 03-18-06 at 12:33 AM.

Public Intoxication / Possession of Marijuana: A UT student was stopped after being observed riding, or should I say swaying, on a bicycle on the wrong side of the road. The student was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself and others. The student was found to be in possession of a small amount of a green leafy substance which tested positive for marijuana.

2000 San Jacinto

Occurred on 03-19-06 at 4:00 AM.

Public Intoxication: A UT student was found staggering on the sidewalk. The student had a swollen mouth, broken teeth and a red whelp on his neck. The student stated he had been hit by a bird. The student was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point Austin-Travis County EMS needed to transport the student to a local emergency room for the treatment of alcohol poisoning.

2100 San Jacinto

Occurred on 03-18-06 at 3:35 AM.

Driving Under The Influence Of Alcohol By A Minor: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was stopped for running a stop sign while driving a Chrysler 4-door. The student was found to have consumed alcoholic beverages, but not to the point she was driving while intoxicated.
