Brackenridge Hall Dormitory, 207 East 21st Street

Occurred on 04-02-06 at 3:15 AM.

Public Intoxication: A UT student was found attempting to push a full sized motorcycle up a flight of stairs located on the east side of the dormitory. When asked why he was trying to push his motorcycle up the flight of stairs, the student stated he was going to see his girlfriend. The student was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.

Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, 405 East 23rd Street

Occurred on 04-01-06 at 4:59 PM.

Criminal Trespass (3 counts): Three non-UT subjects were reported as selling t-shirts on the east side of the stadium. The three subjects were issued written criminal trespass warnings.

Frank C. Erwin Special Events Center, 1701 Red River

Occurred between 03-25-06 at 4:45 PM and 03-28-06 at 1:30 PM.

Theft: Four Motorola P110 two-way radios, a radio charger and an Olympus digital camera were stolen from an unsecured 1st floor office. The radios and radio charger were kept on a desk in the office, while the camera had been stored inside a cabinet in the office. Loss value: $500.00.

Frank C. Erwin Special Events Center, 1701 Red River

Occurred on 03-31-06 at 8:38 PM.

Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject, who was under the age of 21, was reported as having run through a reserved suite into the suites restroom to begin the most expeditious method of removing alcoholic beverages form ones stomach. The subject was found on the restroom floor hugging her new found porcelain friend. The subject was not aware of her surroundings or the location of her shoes. The subject needed assistance with standing and walking. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point she was a physical endangerment to herself.

Frank Denius Fields, 2300 Red River

Discovered on 03-31-06 at 10:28 AM.

Graffiti: Black spray paint was used to write words on an exterior wall located on the east side of the property. Removal cost: $40.00.

Graduate School of Business, 100 West 21st Street

Reported on 03-31-06 at 4:18 PM.

Theft: A Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop computer was stolen when it was left for 30 minutes in an unsecured 3rd floor student office. Loss value: $1,900.00.

Gregory Gym, 2101 Speedway

Occurred on 04-02-06 between 7:30 PM and 8:10 PM.

Theft: A blue Samsung 8200 cell phone was stolen when it was left by the bleachers near a 3rd floor basketball court while the owner played basketball. Loss value: $100.00.

Gregory Gym, 2101 Speedway

Occurred on 04-02-06 between 11:00 Am and 12 noon.

Theft: A black leather purse containing an identification card, a debit card and a one carat diamond set in a platinum ring was stolen when it was left in an unsecured locker located inside a 2nd floor womens locker room. The owner placed a combination style padlock on the locker, but failed to secure the lock. Loss value: $3,010.00.

Gregory Gym, 2101 Speedway

Discovered on 04-02-06 at 10:30 PM.

Theft: An unknown brand cell phone, an identification card and a vehicle key were stolen form an unsecured coin-operated locker located inside a 2nd floor weight room. Loss value: $100.00.

Gregory Gym, 2101 Speedway

Occurred on 03-31-06 between 8:30 PM and 8:45 PM.

Theft: A backpack containing a key ring, a Sanyo 8100 cell phone and a wallet with several identification cards, including a social security card, a debit card and a credit card was stolen when it was left inside an unsecured coin operated locker located inside a 2nd floor weight room. Loss value: $218.00.

Gregory Gym, 2101 Speedway

Occurred on 03-31-06 between 11:00 Am and 12 noon.

Theft: A black Nike backpack containing a cell phone, a Texas Instruments TI 89 calculator, a key ring, notebooks and a brown wallet with a debit card and credit card was stolen when it was left inside an unsecured coin operated locker located inside a 2nd floor weight room. Loss value: $150.00.

Homer Rainey Hall, 200 West 21st Street

Occurred between 03-31-06 at 1:00 PM and 04-01-06 at 4:00 PM.

Theft: A Mongoose bicycle was stolen while it was secured with a cable lock to a bicycle rack located on the west side of the building. Loss value: $125.00.

Jester Center Academic, 201 East 21st Street

Reported on 03-31-06 at 11:14 AM.

Graffiti: A black permanent marker was used to write letters and a number on a 3rd floor mens restroom wall. Removal cost: $35.00.

Littlefield Dormitory, 201 West Dean Keeton

Occurred on 04-01-06 at 4:00 AM.

Public Intoxication / Failure To Identify: A non-UT subject was reported as pulling on the main entrance doors to the dormitory on several occasions before performing a bodily function on the front porch of the dormitory. An officer located the subject stumbling across the roadway and nearly falling over the curb before lying down on a low retention wall. The subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.

Living Learning Center, 2610 Whitis

Occurred on 04-02-06 at 1:40 AM.

Public Intoxication / Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: One UT student was observed dragging a second UT student up a flight of stairs located on the west side of the building. Both students were found to be under the age of 21 and had consumed alcoholic beverages. The student who was being dragged was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.

North Office Building, 101 East 27th Street

Occurred on 04-03-06 at 2:10 AM.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: While responding to an alarm in a 1st floor room, a police officer located two UT students inside the alarmed room. Both students were found to be consuming alcoholic beverages. One of the two students was under the age of 21.

Parking Lot 80, 1900 Red River

Reported on 03-31-06 at 11:35 PM.

Leaving the Scene Collision: Witnesses reported the driver of a gold Dodge pick-up truck struck the right side of a parked Chevrolet Impala and left the scene without leaving driver information. Repair cost: $300.00.

Perry-Castañeda Library, 101 East 21st Street

Occurred on 03-31-06 between 6:30 PM and 10:00 PM.

Theft: A blue and silver Schwinn bicycle was stolen while it was secured with a cable lock to a bicycle rack located on the north side of the library. Loss value: $125.00.

Robert Lee Moore Hall, 2515 Speedway

Reported on 03-31-06 at 8:21 AM.

Criminal Mischief: A UT staff member reported an unidentified subject(s) hung undergarments from the ceiling located inside a 4th floor lobby. Signs placed in the lobby provided a name of an organization responsible for the creation of the proclaimed museum. Later that same day, a request for subscription to the Campus Watch came in. The prefix for the e-mail address was the same as the organization listed on the signs happy reading. Removal cost: $25.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 04-02-06 at 4:08 AM.

Public Intoxication / Possession of Anothers Driver License: A UT student, who was under the age of 21, was found squatting in the middle of the bushes located on the north side of the building. When confronted, the student stood up, but forgot to stop conducting his personal business and forgot to raise his pants. The student had difficulty standing and was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was a physical endangerment to himself.

Will C. Hogg Building, #2 East Mall

Reported on 03-31-06 at 2:55 PM.

Harassment: A caller, who identified himself as a former student, placed several unwanted telephone calls to 1st floor offices and began to yell profanities at staff members.

100 East Dean Keeton

Occurred on 04-02-06 at 1:49 AM.

Public Intoxication (2 counts): Two non-UT subjects, who were both under the age of 21, were reported as stumbling as they attempted to walk beside the roadway. Neither subject was aware of their surroundings. Both subjects were found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point they were a physical endangerment to themselves.

2000 Speedway

Occurred on 04-02-06 at approximately 2:00 AM.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The state inspection sticker affixed to the windshield of a grey Honda Accord was stolen when the Honda was left unsecured in a parking space while the owner walked friends into Jester Center West. Replacement value: $20.00.

2500 University

Occurred on 04-01-06 at 11:58 PM.

Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor (3 counts) / Providing Alcohol to a Minor: Three UT students, who were all under the age of 21, and a non-UT subject were found loitering around a picnic table located in the Blanton Quad. Upon seeing a police officer, one of the students removed a bottle of champagne form the table in an effort to hide the bottle. All four subjects were found to have consumed alcoholic beverages. The non-UT subject admitted to providing the alcohol to the students.

100 West 22nd Street

Reported on 03-31-06 at 3:15 PM.

Leaving the Scene Collision: A white pick-up truck, towing a trailer, backed into the rear bumper of a bus parked on the north side of the roadway. The driver of the truck left the scene without leaving driver information. Repair cost: $50.00.

300 East 24th Street

Occurred on 04-01-06 between 10:00 Am and 5:00 PM.

Leaving the Scene Collision: A witness left a note on the windshield of a parked Toyota Camry indicating a green Honda Accord 4-door struck the left side of the Camry it was parked on the side of the road. The driver of the Honda left the scene without leaving driver information. Repair cost: $150.00.

300 East 24th Street

Occurred on 04-01-06 between 7:45 PM and 11:00 PM.

Criminal Mischief: The passenger side tires to a black Toyota Highlander were deflated while the vehicle was parked on the north side of the roadway. The owner of the Highlander reported a black sport utility vehicle had been following her vehicle until she parked in the 300 block of East 24th Street. At the time of the report, it was unclear if the tires were deflated or cut. Repair cost: Unknown at this time.

Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, The University of Texas Police Department responded to 24 alarm calls, 5 suspicious activity reports, 1 medical emergency, 5 unsecured door reports, 1 motor vehicle collision, 1 dumpster fire and 6 requests for public assistance between 03-31-06 and 04-03-06.
