Facilities Services, 1716 Manor Road

Occurred between 5-08-06 at 8:00 AM and 5-09-06, at 5:00 PM.

Theft: A UT staff member reported that $34.00, in cash, was stolen from her purse after she left it unsecured on top of a work table. Loss value: $34.00.

Jester East Dormitory, 201 East 21st Street

Occurred on 5-11-06, at 7:26 PM.

Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject refused to leave the building after getting into an argument with a UT student inside the T.V. lounge. When stopped by the police officer, the subject stated that she hated all Texans and would pray for a flood. In addition to other law enforcement actions taken, the subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning and escorted from the area. Much to her chagrin, Troy Kimmel's weather forecast for today is sunshine and 89 degrees.

Robert L. Moore Hall, 2515 Speedway

Occurred between 5-06-06, and 5-10-06.

Criminal Mischief: An unknown subject activated the emergency shower located in the northwest corner of the 17th floor and left the shower head on, causing damage to the upper three floors. Loss value: Unknown at this time.

Texas Swim Center, 1900 Red River

Occurred on 5-11-06, between 7:15 PM and 9:00 PM.

Theft: A green KHS mountain bicycle was stolen from the bike racks located on the north side of the building after being secured with only a cable lock. Loss value: $250.00.

200 Block East 21st Street

Occurred on 5-12-06, at 2:12 AM.

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by a Minor (1 count) / Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor (2 counts): A UT police officer observed a subject sitting in the open bed of a blue Chevy truck. When the subject observed the officer he attempted to quickly conceal a Styrofoam cup. The driver of the truck began to pull away from the curb in an effort to leave. The vehicle was stopped and the occupants of the vehicle were identified as UT students. During the investigation, the officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on the breaths of all three subjects. The two passengers were issued field release citations for Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor. The driver was issued a field release citation for Driving Under the Influence by a Minor; however, the had to contact a friend to drive his vehicle from the scene.

Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, The University of Texas Police Department responded to 6 alarm calls, 6 unsecured door reports, 2 medical emergency calls, and 1 suspicious activity report between 05-11-06, and 05-12-06.
