Graffiti: Words written in ink were discovered in two separate locations on the building. Loss value: $75.00.
Pharmacy Building, 2409 University Ave.
Discovered on 5-18-06, at 8:40 AM.
Graffiti: A total of six ink drawings were discovered inside a 3rd floor men's restroom. Loss value: $50.00.
San Antonio Garage, 2420 San Antonio
Occurred on 5-16-06, at 8:51 AM.
Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject was located on the 5th level sleeping next to the elevators. During the investigation, the officer issued the subject a written criminal trespass warning and escorted him from the area.
2700 Block Speedway
Occurred on 5-18-06, at 12:06 PM.
Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject was observed asking students for money. The subject claimed that his car had run out of gas and that his wife and children were waiting for him at the car. The subject was located by Harris Park and during the investigation, the officer discovered that the subject had been released from prison in March 2006 after serving a six-year prison term. The subject admitted that he had been stopping people and asking them for money. The subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning and released. As for his car---it was never there.
Crime Prevention Tip:
This is an old scam that is commonly used to play upon the intended victim's feelings of compassion. This subject is described as: black male, 44 years of age, 6' 02", 187 lbs., with a bald head. He was last seen wearing a Polo shirt with stripes and blue jeans.
