Occurred between 05-18 and 05-21.

Harassment: A UT grad student reported receiving unwanted and unsolicited harassing telephone calls on her office telephone from an unknown subject. The unknown subject has been calling her for the past 2-3 months and leaving messages on her voicemail. On his latest call, the unknown subject stated he was coming to Austin, from Florida, after Memorial Day Weekend and wanted her to make his hotel arrangements.

Occurred on 05/20

Assault: A UT staff member assaulted another UT staff member by physical contact. The UT staff member found the contact to be offensive and she is afraid that the other staff members actions will escalate due to her aggressive and confrontational nature. The UT staff member has been involved in other harassing incidents and has created a hostile work environment.

Crime Tip of the Day:

If you are being harassed by a co-worker, do not be afraid to report it to your supervisor or to UTPD. If that co-worker is aggressive and confrontational, do not confront them. Let your supervisor handle the situation. The harassment should be reported and documented.

Non-Criminal Calls: In addition to the above criminal cases, The University of Texas Police Department responded to 4 alarm calls, and 8 unsecured door reports between 05-22-06 and 05-23-06.
