CHAPTER 6 - UNIVERSITY FACILITIES AND SERVICES
Sec. 6.12. Preparation, Sale, or Distribution of Food and Beverages
- The University follows all local and state health and sanitation regulations and guidelines with regard to food handling. Pursuant to this policy, each employee, student, or organization involved in the distribution, or sale of food and beverages on or in University properties, including off-campus preparation for distribution or sale on campus, must have a current food handler's permit. Students may obtain the handler's permit through the Campus Activities Office. Employees may obtain the permit through the Office of Environmental Health and Safety.
- The site and facilities for on-campus preparation of food or beverages must have a permit issued by the Office of Environmental Health and Safety. Exceptions to this policy will be permitted only with prior approval from the office of the campus activity or agency involved and the Director of the Office of Environmental Health and Safety. Facilities for off-campus preparation of food or beverages must have a permit issued by the City Health Department.
- In addition the sale and distribution of food and beverages on campus must comply with regental and institutional rules related to solicitation, to the use of University facilities, and to existing institutional commitments regarding such sales and distribution.
