CHAPTER 9 - PERSONNEL - CLASSIFIED

Sec. 9.03. The Director, Office of Personnel Services and Employee Relations

This position entails responsibility, under the direction of the Vice President for Business Affairs, and the President, for the formulation and administration of sound personnel and employee relations policies and practices, and for the recommendation of changes in policies and regulations for action by the President.

The Director establishes regulations governing the recruitment, working conditions, compensation administration, staff benefits, employee development, and related personnel programs for classified staff, in keeping with the policies of the Board of Regents. This Office is also responsible for annually reviewing the staff compensation plan setting forth rates of pay for all job classifications included in the classified Personnel Pay Plan, and recommending adjustments as needed to maintain competitive and equitable rates of pay, subject to ratification by the designated System Administration officials and the Board of Regents.
