Subject: REQUIRED INTERVIEWS WITH CANDIDATES FOR FACULTY POSITIONS

All candidates who are to be recommended for faculty appointment to the rank of assistant professor, associate professor or professor should be interviewed by the dean of the college or school or his delegate. Candidates for tenure positions should be interviewed in addition by the Vice President and Dean of Graduate Studies and by the Executive Vice President and Provost or their delegates.

Candidates for a named professorship, a chair, a departmental chairmanship or other extraordinary appointment of a similar nature should also be accorded the opportunity to meet with the President. Each interviewing office should be provided with a copy of the candidate's vita, credentials, and supporting documents prior to the interview.
