Subject: UNIVERSITY PATENT POLICY

The patent policy of the University is contained in the Regents' Rules and Regulations, Part Two, Chapter XII, Section 2. This policy applies to all persons employed by the University, to anyone using University facilities under the supervision of University personnel, including postdoctoral and predoctoral fellows.

To help administer the patent policy the University has established an Institutional Patent Committee. Faculty members or other University personnel who have developed what they believe to be patentable ideas and those with questions concerning University Patent Policy should contact the chairman of the Institutional Patent Committee or the director of The Office of Sponsored Projects.
