Criteria for Selection
To be considered for the Civitatis Award, the faculty member must meet the following criteria: 1. Be a current tenured member of the faculty. 2. Have provided dedicated and meritorious service to the University above and beyond the regular expectations of teaching, research, and service. 3. Be a person of such integrity, stature, demonstrated ability, and
renown that the University community, including alumni, faculty, staff, and students, will
take pride in and be inspired by his or her recognition. 1. A letter of nomination should be submitted to the Faculty Council Executive Committee and include the following:
2. All nominations must be submitted for review to the Faculty Council Executive Committee by April 15 of each year. 3. The Civitatis recipients will be announced in the summer and the awards will be presented at an awards ceremony an appropriate institutional occassion the following spring.
