The President’s Student Advisory Council
The purpose of the President’s Student Advisory Committee is to advise the president of the University of Texas at Austin on matters of importance and concern to students and to serve as the principal body of communication between students and the president. PSAC is composed of twelve students, including the president and vice president of Student Government, the Senate of College Councils, and the Graduate Student Assembly, and two additional students from each of these organizations. These six additional students are selected by the president of the university from nominations submitted by their respective organizations.
PSAC is structured around three subcommittees that work throughout the year on initiatives they identify and research. These subcommittees bring student feedback and opinions to PSAC meetings, and PSAC collaborates on finding solutions to these problems.
If you are interested in voicing your thoughts or opinions to the President’s Student Advisory Council, we encourage you to contact any of the 2011-2012 PSAC members.
