Friends of UT Elementary School is an annual giving initiative that provides general support for the mission, academic enrichment programs, and research initiatives of UT Elementary School.
UT Elementary School has an extended school year of one additional week and an extended school day that is 30 minutes longer than traditional public schools. We also offer a full-day of pre-kindergarten rather than the half-day that is funded by the State. This extra instructional time is not funded by the State and is supported with private donations.
UT Elementary School also operates as a demonstration school and partners with faculty researchers and students at The University of Texas in many Colleges and Schools. This collaboration requires equipment, personnel, and other expenses that are not a part of the traditional public school's budget. |
