Welcome to the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost. As Provost, it is my privilege to serve as chief academic officer of this great university overseeing the academic programs on campus. I am honored to work together with our deans, department chairs, directors, faculty, staff, and students to create and sustain an unrelenting focus on excellence and innovation in undergraduate and graduate education. Together with our academic leaders, we are committed to establishing an environment that fosters the recruitment and retention of the world's best faculty and students necessary for the fulfillment of the mission of the university to lead in the advancement of society through research, creative activity, scholarly inquiry, and the development of new knowledge. I am privileged to work alongside the president to implement the recommendations of the Commission of 125 to elevate The University of Texas at Austin as one of the top five public research universities in this country and beyond.
