*The Friar Centennial Teaching Fellowship was established
by the Board of Regents on August 12, 1983. It was amended in order
to better define its operating procedures and that the previously
reserved matching funds be allocated to double the endowment of
the Fellowship. The amendment was approved by the Regents on June
6, 1986, and the first award was given during the 1987-88 academic
year.
