Linda Neavel Dickens, Ph.D., directs IAPA, which was founded in Summer 2011; she has worked for UT Austin for over 10 years, including teaching and research associate positions. Her experience in organizational learning and development spans 25 years, from administering multiple large-scale employee assessments and organizational evaluations to leading team-based change management initiatives to conducting comprehensive employee development programs. For 10 years, she taught graduate courses in critical thinking, research methodologies, organizational change, and leadership. Linda’s combination of academic and practitioner experience supports effective and efficient curricular and programmatic change at UT Austin. A highly-trained and skillful facilitator and coach, Linda has worked primarily in non-profit and educational settings and is dedicated to creating more democracy in the workplace and increasing evidence-based decision making. Her publications have focused on using action research and action science to generate individual learning and organizational renewal.
