To maintain accreditation with the Commission on Colleges, an institution
must comply with the standards contained in the Principles of Accreditation:
Foundations for Quality Enhancement and with the policies and procedures
of the Commission on Colleges.
The 2007 interim edition of the Principles, as approved by the membership
in December 2006 and effective January 1, 2007, serves as the current version
until the Commission can produce a final print version. The Executive Summary
highlights substantive changes to content and does not address reformatting,
editing, or minor modifications to the previous document.
