Funding or Award Criteria	“The Beckman Young Investigator (BYI) Program is intended to provide research support to the most promising young faculty members in the early stages of academic careers in the chemical and life sciences...Projects should show promise for contributing to significant advances in the research fields of interest to the Foundation. They should represent innovative departures in research rather than extensions or expansions of existing programs. Proposed research that cuts across traditional boundaries of scientific disciplines is encouraged.”

VPR Required Documents	1. Dean’s Letter of Recommendation (Please note that the candidates selected to advance will require a total of THREE letters of support.); 2. Printed Application available online (Signatures are NOT required for internal review.); 3. A four-page preliminary proposal, including references; and 4. Current CV (<3 pages).
Notes	The Foundation will not be accepting applications for the Beckman Young Investigators Program until further notice.
