“…honors scientists and engineers at mid-career for exceptional contributions to the development, use, or control of nuclear energy (broadly defined to include the science and technology of nuclear, atomic, molecular and particle interactions and effects and environmental conservation and efficiency)…One Lawrence Award is given in each of seven categories [see below].” |
| Eligibility |
1) Recipients must be in their mid-careers (defined as within 20 years of receiving a Ph.D. or M.D.); 2) The award is given for a relatively recent achievement (rather than for a lifetime of achievements); and 3) Recipients must be citizens of the United States. |
