“The objective of this program is to stimulate and support creative research undertaken by promising researchers who have the potential to make a profound impact in their research disciplines. The focus of this fellowship program is on novel approaches, with computing at the heart of the research.” |
| Eligibility |
Nominees must hold a tenure-track faculty position...and may be no more than six years from the completion of their most recent Ph.D., Sc.D., or M.D. Ph.D. Nominees must be new faculty members in the first, second, or third year of their first faculty appointment. |

- Nominee’s CV containing the following information: Nominee Title, Nominee Department, Primary email address of the Nominee, Primary phone number of the Nominee, Primary mailing address of the Nominee.
- Answer the question: What is the innovative merit of the nominee’s research? (Maximum word count = 250)
- Answer the question: How does the nominee’s work have the potential to advance the state of the art? (Maximum word count = 300)
- Answer the question: How is the institution supporting the faculty member’s work? (Maximum word count = 100)
- Answer the question: Does the current work receive funding from other grant sources? (Maximum word count = 50)
- Provide a statement of hypothesis, objectives, and methodology of the nominee’s research work and plans. Include a brief description of how the award funds will be used. (Maximum word count = 650)

Selected UT nominee must also provide three (3) letters of recommendation from established researchers familiar with the applicant’s research—no more than one (1) letter of recommendation can come from within the nominating institution. VPR will secure endorsement of the Provost and submit final nomination online. |
