Funding or Award Criteria	“…awarded for any one of the following: 1) The protection, maintenance, improvement or understanding of an ecological or an environmental condition anywhere in the world; 2) The discovery, further development, improvement, or understanding of known or new sources of energy; or 3) Medical discoveries or achievements with such worldwide implications that they significantly benefit environmental aspects of human health.”

VPR Required Documents	One-page Letter of Nomination from Dean or ORU Director with emphasis on discovery, improvement, or other contribution for which the award is proposed.; Nominee's CV; Names, contact information and very brief bios of at least six individuals willing to write letters of nomination for the nominee.
Notes	The Office of the VPR will coordinate and submit the package of the nominees selected to represent UT. At least three letters of support are required to be submitted directly to USC, and additional names will be made available to the USC Executive Committee.
