Biographical Sketch
Dr. David W. Sullivan is a Research
Associate at The University of Texas at Austin Center for Energy and Environmental Resources, where he has been a staff member since
September 2005. Some projects on which he has worked include the ongoing
Corpus Christi Air Quality Study and the 2005-2006 Second Texas Air
Quality Study (TexAQS II). He was the Principal Investigator on a study
to determine the causes of elevated particulate matter levels in
Houston, a project to assess emissions from storage tanks, and an air
pollution trend project. His research interests include source
apportionment, pollution transport, air quality trends, monitoring
network design, and data quality assurance. He was previously employed
as a data analyst, team leader, and section manager at the Texas
Commission on Environmental Quality, 1993 – 2005, and had an earlier
career as an aerospace engineer. He is active in local community
affairs, and he has served on a handful of non-profit steering committees
and on City of Austin citizen boards including the Planning Commission
from 1994 – 1999 and 2001 - 2009.
