This page provides an overview of emission inventories currently available for Southeast Texas. Similar data are available for most of the other non-attainment (Dallas-Fort Worth) and near non-attainment (Austin, Corpus Christi, Longview, San Antonio, and Victoria) regions in the eastern half of Texas. For rural areas in eastern Texas, biogenic emission inventories are available, but other emission data are limited.

The maps presented here are summaries of much more detailed inventories that include chemical characterization of the emissions, as well as details of spatial and temporal allocation of the emissions. These data can be assembled on request. The maps are intended to be useful for sampling site selection and aircraft flight plan development.

  • Maps 1-4: Point sources of emissions for the 8-county Houston-Galveston-Brazoria non-attainment region
  • Maps 5-8: Point sources of emissions for the highly industrialized Ship Channel region in eastern Harris county
  • Maps 9-10: Biogenic emission sources - forest cover statewide
  • Maps 11-16: Biogenic emission sources - Southeast Texas
  • Maps 17-20: On-road and area source emissions
