Goal: Develop a sensor to measure small ampltiude Rf magnetic field distributions, for use in a high spatial resolution Non-Destructive Evaluation of large metallic structures.

Fiber optic magnetometer sensor Implementation. The fiber strain varies as the square of the applied magnetic field, the frequency of which is then down-converted to the mechanical resonance frequency of the sensor.   Variation of interferometer output as a function of amplitude of 1 MHz magnetic field. Response is large at 5.79 kHz magnetic drive frequency due to mechanical resonance.
