The Center research is focused on the synthesis of innovative new MetaMaterials and their upward integration to enable the development of novel microfabricated electromagnetic devices and macrofabricated electromagnetic structures.

Synthesize useful electromagnetic MetaMaterials by exploiting unique properties of:
- amorphous materials
- granular materials
- thin films/multilayers
- nanoparticles
- nanomodulated composites.
 

Design, analyze, microfabricate and test novel electromagnetic devices such as sensors, actuators, transducers, RF tags, security devices, microwave phase shifters and filters, and antennas.

Develop large scale processing techniques to integrate novel materials and devices into electromagnetic composites, antennas, sensor arrays, transmission line networks, RFI and EMC enclosures, and adaptive surface structures.
