Research Interests: I am interested in the role of the laboratory
in chemistry instruction. The new General Chemistry laboratory course
is being taught in the Cognitive Apprenticeship model, which is a novel
approach for Chemistry laboratories. My research focuses on the implementation
and evaluation of this model in this laboratory course. Comparisons
of this model to more traditional methods of laboratory instruction
are ongoing.
