1/29/2010 – Christopher King Meets with Congressional Staff on the Workforce Investment Act

On Jan. 29, RMC director Christopher King will meet with congressional staff members on issues related to the Workforce Investment Act. Dr. King will brief the Congressional Staff Network Forum on RMC’s work to develop and refine return-on-investment measures for Texas’ workforce development system. Following this presentation, he will meet with Senate staff on the Workforce Investment Act reauthorization bill. Dr. King will be joined by colleagues Randy Eberts, president of the W.E. Upjohn Institute for Employment Research in Michigan; Martin Simon, director of workforce development at the National Governors Association in Washington, D.C.; and Bryan Wilson, deputy director of the Workforce Training and Education Coordinating Board in Washington state.
