The Central Texas Student Futures Project held community briefings on February 24 and 25, 2009. Led by Deanna Schexnayder and Christopher T. King, principal investigators, the briefings drew a wide-ranging audience of school district personnel, college preparatory program managers, higher education staff, business leaders and other community stakeholders. After a presentation of findings from two recent reports, Education and Work After High School: A First Look at the Class of 2007 and Outcomes One Year Later: An Update on the Class of 2006 , the principal investigators answered questions from the audience. Each briefing also included a discussion by a panel of local business and education leaders, focusing on questions and applications for the Student Futures Project research.
