8/12/2010 – Central Texas Student Futures Project Highlighted in the Austin Business Journal

On Aug. 12, the Austin Business Journal reported on a grant made by TG to the E3 Alliance, a partner in the Center’s Student Futures Project with the Ray Marshall Center. This grant will further the project's effort to improve postsecondary enrollment and completion for the region's low-income and first-generation students at several area colleges and universities. Currently, only 43% of high school graduates from the Central Texas region go on to graduate college within six years. The funding will be used to enhance data tracking capabilities and support higher education partners to develop and implement shared programming to improve retention.
