Abstract:  The City of Austin’s Housing 360 program was funded through the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP) under Title XII of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Housing 360 appears to have been largely successful, though data limitations and the lack of a comparison group prevent more rigorous assessment. Available data indicate that the financial assistance provided to households helped many in the Austin community find or retain adequate housing in the short-term.
