Irene Acosta
Undergraduate Research Assistant
Irene is a senior at the School of Social Work. Her professional interests include at-risk youth and in-school social workers.

Sonia Alvarez
Graduate Research Assistant
Sonia is an Integrated Behavioral Health Scholar, pursuing her MSSW with a clinical concentration. Her research interests include immigrant and international populations, and mental health.

Sharon Coughlan
Graduate Research Assistant
Sharon is a graduate student at the School of Social Work. Her professional interests include adolescent pregnancy prevention, immigration, and group work.

Nhat-Anh Le Dang
Undergraduate Research Assistant
Nhat-Anh is an international student from Vietnam who is currently enrolled in the McCombs School of Business.  He is research interests are current unspecified.  He states, “I have been to the US for just nearly a year, so everything is so strange to me. Working and communicating with all co-workers in the office is one perfect opportunity for me to explore this new US society.”

Kristin Santiago
Graduate Research Assistant
Kristin currently attending UT Austin for my Master’s in Social Work with a clinical concentration. My research interests include child welfare, teen pregnancy, and work with undocumented populations.

Rebecca Gomez, LCSW
Rebecca Gomez is a doctoral student at the University of Texas at Austin School of Social Work. Her research area focuses on the developmental period of emerging adulthood, evaluation of services and policies serving youth aging out of the foster care system, and the use of participatory action research among former foster care youth.

Dnika J. Travis, Ph.D.
Dr. Travis is a Research Fellow at the School of Social Work. She specializes in employee responses to complex and stressful work experiences and environments. Her professional interests include employee voice, engagement, and retention, leadership and communication, organizational change and effectiveness, and workforce diversity and inclusion.
