Marilyn Armour, LICSW, Ph.D.
Marilyn Armour is an Associate Professor at The University of Texas
at Austin and the Director of The Institute for Restorative Justice and
Restorative Dialogue. Dr. Armour has written numerous articles and book
chapters, including a recent publication "The Ultimate Penal Sanction
and 'Closure' for Survivors of Homicide Victims," which appeared in the
Marquette Law Review and Federal Sentencing Reporter. She is the author of At Personal Risk: Boundary Violations in Professional Client Relationships, co-author of Educating for Cultural Competence, and co-author with Mark Umbreit of the forthcoming book Restorative Justice Dialogues: A Research-Based Approach to Working with Victims, Offenders, Families, and Communities. As
researcher, Dr. Armour has focused on the effectiveness of restorative
justice interventions, clinical interventions for survivors of homicide
victims, survivorship in Holocaust survivors, and the impact of the
ultimate penal sanction on survivors in Texas and Minnesota.

Stephanie Frogge is a crime victim services consultant working the programs that assist victims of crime and address social justice issues. She is the Project Coordinator for the Defense-Initiated Victim Outreach (DIVO) initiative at The Institute for Restorative Justice and Restorative Dialogue. She is former national director of victim services for MADD's National Office and has over twenty-five years’ experience in direct services, writing and speaking extensively on victim assistance and trauma issues. Ms. Frogge has been an Instructor in the College of Criminal Justice specializing in victimology and victim services and is currently a Lecturer with the School of Social Work at The University of Texas at Austin. She is the co-author with Janice Harris Lord of the curriculum for Death Notification Training for Clergy and Funeral Directors. She has written numerous articles on bereavement, sudden death, and victimization.
