The Governor's Conference on Organizational Excellence

The Texas Government has shown it's dedication to celebrating organizational excellence through the Governor's Conference, which is held every other year. The most recent conference was held November 26, 2001. Governor Perry  stressed three key themes for all organizations to address: innovation, efficiency and effectiveness.

The Texas Star Award

This year's winners of the Texas star awards have demonstrated exemplary skills in dealing with budgeting, customer satisfaction, and employee satisfaction. Governor Perry emphasized his pleasure at the recipients of the Texas Star Award and recognized the recipients when he inaugurated the award in November of 1999.

Forum 2001 - Best Practices
In the Summer of 2001, the Forum gave agencies a chance to share their innovations relating to organizational excellence. These innovations are known as "Best Practices". Best Practices include several examples from participating organizations on how they conduct the survey, return the data to employees, and increase response rates.

Does your Organization have a "Best Practice" to share? If so Contact Us.
