Understanding File Names

The following guide will help you to understand how your survey results files and folders are named.

In order to uniquely identify your organization, we use your assigned Organization Number when referencing your files and folders.

1. The Executive Summary Ex: 999_Part1_Summary_2001 These PDF files are identified by the Organization Number followed by "_Part1_Summary_2001"
2. The Data Report
Ex: 999_Part2_Data_2001
These PDF files are identified by the Organization Number followed by "_Part2_Data_2001"
3. Excel Files
Ex: 999_OrgQuestions
Ex: 999_OrgConstrcts
Ex: 999_OrgExtraQues
Ex: 999_OC1Questions
These Excel files are found in the Data Folder identified by the Organization Number followed by "Data". The files inside are named with the Organization Number and the type of data the file contains - constructs, questions, and extra questions.
Organizational Category files are also found in this file and are denoted by "OC1" or "OC2" within the file name.
3. Organizational Categories
Your organization had the option to break the organization into up to three different types of groupings. There are folders for each of the categories (OC1, OC2, and OC3) you used.  In these folders are Executive Summary and Data Report PDF files for each Category within the grouping. They include the unique number for the category for example "999_OC1_111_Part1_Summary_2001".
